This very long journey, commencing  1st May 2013 and taking 90 days, will cover 4,200 miles and visit 10 States –

✔Virginia – birthplace of no fewer than 8 American Presidents, including the very first, George Washington.

✔Kentucky – has its own share of ‘heroes’ – Abraham Lincoln, Jim (Alamo) Bowie and George Clooney!

✔Illinois – famous people born in Illinois range from President to gangster, Ronald Reagan to Al Capone.

✔Missouri – ‘Fantasy’ creators Mark Twain and Walt Disney were born here.

✔Kansas – Dorothy flew in her dreams in The Wizard of Oz and Amelia Earhart flew in her airplane.

✔Colorado – John Denver sang about his birth state while Jack Dempsey fought to make Colorado proud.

✔Wyoming – Well who hasn’t heard of Yellowstone National Park?

✔Montana – Two suave gents – Gary Cooper and Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing) hail from Montana

✔Idaho – Ernest Hemingway and Tarzan creator, Edgar Rice Burroughs, were born in Idaho.

✔Oregon – From bionics to cartoons, Lindsay Wagner and Matt Groening (The Simpsons’ creator) come from Oregon.

    Gerry I can picture the scene … You, like Roy Rogers riding across the plains on Trigger and twanging on the old guitar!!
