Day 59 Powell to Lowell 66 miles44

We were up early and headed out into the 66 mile ,no services, route through the Bitterness Wilderness.Trees up to the sky,the cascading Lochsa river on our left ,the road weaved its way through the woods. We saw a few people fly fishing and a group of people rafting the rapids but apart from that this part of our journey was very quiet with little traffic.a welcome relief after the road in and out of Missoula.Lowell has a population of 23 one motel/restaurant and a shop, the weather is very hot.

  1. I can’t say how much I love the photos. Thanks so much! And don’t forget to tell us how much your bike weighed. 🙂

  2. You know that you could always take a dip in the river…that would cool you off in a hurry! The water is very clean.
