Day 47 Rawlins to Jeffrey City 70 miles

We left our warm shower hosts Kevin anc Lucy and met up with our new biking mate Frosty and his mate Wayne. So four of us headed off through what can only be described as a desert surrounded on both sides by mountains and hills.16 miles of road works was a bit of a problem as there was no hard shoulder, but the scenery was spectacular, the road was almost flat and there was very little wind. At 38 miles we stopped at Lamont for breakfast and then turned left and into a stiff wind.We passed through Muddy Gap and stopped to look at Split Rock where the pony express went through.,the wind was now quite fierce so we were glad when we reached Jeffry City,a City where in the 1980’s had a population of 6000 , sadly it is now a ghost town and very delapidated .We are camping here tonight
