Day 17 Harrodsburg to Bardstown 47 miles

Rolled through very green farming countryside, this is the bluegrass area and there are fields of grass but all of it green , apparently in certain areas the grass has a blue tinge. This is also where they grow a lot of tobacco and make burbon .Met two lovely couples who gave us a cold drink and a health bar at the Lincoln Homestead Park and we are now in Bardstown which was voted the most beautiful small town in America, that being the case we are having a rest day here.

  1. I agree with Stephanie you both look great and at 17 days in you must be feeling fitter- relax and enjoy your day

  2. A well earned rest i would say. have a relaxing and see do your legs remember walking 🙂

  3. Have to say you are both looking very fit and well, don’t know what all this talk of eating too much food is all about!! You are both looking great.

  4. It was so nice meeting you by chance at the Lincoln Homestead State Park in KY and helping quench your thirst and fuel your energy. We like seeing our photo too on your blog. May your journey be filled with memories of a lifetime.
