Raining as we left Lindas B&B ,terrain again up and down, passed lots of villages were people kept horses, mainly as pets i would think,no Kentuky derby winners there.Saw a lot of very poor houses again most had rusted old cars and trucks in the front gardens.Have now established a method for dealing with dog attacks,i go out front and a assault them with my boot and Gerry hits them with the pepper spray,we call this assault and pepper. Met 4 ladies at lunch today, the wheat sisters who are from Berea, see photo, Gerry and the wheat sisters(great band name).Staying tonight with warmshower hoasts Andy and Paige, great meal, lovely people.

  1. Can’t believe you need assult and pepper what the hell are you doing to the dogs in Kentucky, at least the humans are still friendly which is great to see what an adventure. Keep safe and congrats on 2 weeks completed

  2. You look like you are becoming transformed into a hill billy. Are you sure you are not being secretly brainwashed, after that pic am getting seriously worried. As for Gerry and the Wheat sisters they could be the new sensation. Its quite catchy, could be playing in the Market Bar yet.

  3. Great photos and commentary. I look forward to reading your blog every morning at breakfast. Keep pedalling , at full tilt Gerry. John
